My Story

Updated: Dec 8, 2025

Acting is the most beautiful form of human expression since an individual has the opportunity to empathize with another individual living or dead. This beautiful dream began with a childhood visionary of myself making an enactment of various characters and getting praise for doing so. I was always in awe of superhero movies growing up and wished to be like them. As school began, I always enjoyed performing during annual day functions. As years passed by, I lost connection towards performing since I did not have any opportunities and left acting just as a childhood memory. It was when I was in my eleventh grade that I got the opportunity to be a part of a short film for my English class project. All the students were chosen into different teams to play various roles. I was the last student to be taken into a team that required a female character. So fortunately, unfortunately I had to play the role of a female, which made me feel challenged. By the time the film was over, I realized how much I missed performing in front of the camera and realized that my childhood passion was still instilled in me. My parents play a role in my decision and passion for acting. It was during my summer holidays when my friend had asked me to act in one of his films, it was also during the time when I was preparing for my SAT’s. My enthusiasm had driven me to sneak out of my house early in the morning and my dad caught sight of me leaving the house and stopped me from going for the shoot. That day made me realize how much I loved acting. I then had to apply for universities and was guided by my parents to pursue a degree that could back myself up financially, which further made my goal of acting only a fantasy dream. As university began, I was lucky enough to get into an acting class for beginners. I was so into this craft that I told myself that if I had excelled, I should then pursue acting as a profession. By the grace of hard work and zest in myself, I topped the class with an A+. This brought hope into the eyes of my parents and a sense of understanding that I wasn’t immature about my former decisions. Right from that moment all I got was support and love from my loved ones that made me unstoppable from pursuing acting and attained a Theatre Minor from Indiana University. I realized that performing is the only time I get validated and brings out the purpose of my existence. Through my progression, my parents eased out on the fact that I want to pursue acting.

I have recently graduated from Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, "Discovering The Method". Looking forward to sharing my experiences in the near future
